Children’s Aid and Family Services recently held their annual Spring Gala at  Hackensack Country Club which featured a wide assortment of culinary treats as well  as silent and live auctions featuring unique and valuable items. One featured auction  item, supplied by Girard Interiors of Westwood, was a jersey signed by their celebrity  client, Dwyane Wade, point guard for Miami Heat and a gold medal winner in the 2008  Summer Olympics.

Frame it Yourself, also located in downtown Westwood, supported the gala by donating  custom framing for the jersey. The Wade jersey generated $2,100 at auction. A Kobe  Bryant framed jersey also went for $1,000. Since 1899, Children’s Aid and Family  Services has been recognized as a leader in adoption and specialty therapeutic  services for children who have been severely traumatized and abused. The store  is presently holding a fund-raiser to benefit homeless, sick and injured animals through  Friends of the County Animal Shelter (FOCAS). Girard Interiors will donate 5 percent of  any purchase made during the month of April to animals
